Two Associates and one Law Clerk from Goodman McGuffey’s Atlanta Office were honored at the State Bar of Georgia Annual Meeting in Amelia Island this past weekend. Law Clerk Morgan Lyndall, who is taking the Georgia Bar Exam in July, along with Mercer University School of Law Dean Cathy Cox, accepted the “Attorney General Cup” for her successful participation in the Georgia Legal Food Frenzy. Ms. Lyndall led Mercer Law to victory by raising over $6,500 and 165 pounds of food for the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank during this year’s Seventh Annual Legal Food Frenzy, a competition to help feed the hungry in Georgia.
Associate Bert Noble received the Young Lawyers Division (“YLD”) award for ‘Achievement for Outstanding Service to the Public’ for his role as Committee Chair for the YLD’s Disaster Legal Assistance Committee. Through this committee, Bert helped coordinate emergency legal assistance for victims of natural disasters during the past two years.
Senior Associate Elissa Haynes was also sworn in as Secretary of the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia during the Annual State Bar Meeting.
The firm is very proud of each of them and their commitment to State Bar leadership.
